Do I need planning permission for a garden room?
Most garden rooms fall within Permitted Development rights and do not require planning permission, provided they meet certain criteria — typically single storey, no more than 4m in height, and not covering more than 50% of the garden. We advise on each project individually and liaise with local authorities in St Albans, Welwyn Garden City, Watford and beyond when needed.
How long does a garden room installation take?
A standard garden room typically takes 2–4 weeks from groundworks to handover, depending on size and specification. More complex projects incorporating outdoor kitchens, landscaping or multiple structures may take 6–10 weeks. We provide a precise timeline during your free consultation.
